Quantity Surveyor

e-build are pleased to welcome James Porritt to the team as the new Quantity Surveyor. James says:


I am an experienced Quantity Surveyor and excited to join a forward thinking, innovative and successful company in e-build.

I feel that I bring a wealth of experience in commercial management and estimating of various minor works and multi million pound projects.

Having dealt with a variety of Forms of Contract such as NEC, JCT, ICE, Network Rail and D&B whilst working for national main contractors, I offer a structured and knowledgeable approach to the company.

St Denys Church

This ecclesiastical project is now complete. e-build have provide re-ordering works
a new bespoke  kitchenette and disabled toilet, this also included a new sewerage
connection and drainage work.

New Build


Work has started on a new build four bedroom, two bathroom detached  house
for a private client in Strensall, York.

Joinery Workshop


Following our very successful return to York and a high demand for joinery services, e-build have invested in a bespoke joinery workshop at our head office in York.
Working out of a 6000 sq ft custom fitted workshop the team of expert joiners manufacture and fit all of the on site joinery for e-build.
New Services Include: Bespoke Kitchens, Staircases, Fitted Wardrobes, Retail counters, Bars, Windows and Doors, Conservatories, Orangery’s and Timber Trusses.

  • Penleys Grove Street Update

    e-build is close to completing this terraced house refurbishment and extension using traditional materials and practices to restore the house to its original glory. Creating new Douglas fir timber windows and staircase and a timber framed extension to the rear of the property. e-build are also building a brand new studio flat at the bottom of the garden with a traditional welsh slate roof.

St Denys Church, Killingholme

e-build are pleased to have been commissioned by St Denys Church Killingholme
to provide a new disabled WC and a bespoke Kitchenette continuing e-builds ecclesiastical
refurbishment portfolio.


Refurbishment and Extension in York

This beautiful Victorian terrace house in York was fully refurbished and extended
by e-build during a 12 week program. The project included full rewiring and plastering
all new internal doors and kitchen made and installed by York Joinery along with new
windows. New bathrooms and plumbing and an extension were also included. This
project was completed on time and to the full satisfaction of the client.

Siddle House Farm

Extension to the main house to include a new kitchen, breakfast room,
en-suite bathroom and a dressing room. e-build are also rebuilding the
exiting barn to transform it into a four car garage with a gymnasium and a
large storage room. The bespoke kitchen and the king post truss’s will be supplied
and fitted by York Joinery.

ST Oswalds Church, Althorpe

e-build recently completed the careful  remove some pews, infill “floor” and
screed flat and level as well as Solar voltaic panels to the Nave roof and interior
painting/decorating.

PMS Diecasting

e-build have a dedicated team who specialise in works on industrial and manufacturing sites.
We recognize the need for a flexible approach, and work with our clients to manage their projects
around their production timescales and other operations, to minimise disruption and ensure the
successful on time completion of all works undertaken. We offer services such as Civil engineering
including machine bases and new car parks etc. We provide planned and reactive maintenance
works, and refurbishment of existing facilities including office areas and humanities blocks.

St Nicholas Church, Stillington


Stillington Church is having a new extension designed by Peter Pace Architects and built by e-build in traditional oak.

e-build are working on a large extension in Alwoodley changing the full layout of the detached house to include 5 new bathrooms a new kitchen, sun room and car port. New garden walls with electric gates, CCTV and access system. Built out of natural stone with aluminium bi-folding doors, composite decking area with LED lighting.

York Hogroast

E-build carried out the refurbishment and fit out of this new restaurant for York Hogroast, within sight of York minster in the historic city of York.
The works on the 17th Century building were carried out in a sympathetic nature to preserve the original features of the building.
The project was completed within the tight time scales and within budget to the complete satisfaction of the client.
