Harker Construction are proud to have won the tender from Lawrence Hannah to re-develop The Former Crown Inn, Shiptonthorpe, which is situated between York & Hull. The completed office development will be a new branch for the estate agent George F White and will include some office space for rent.

As you can see from these pictures work has started on site has and the project is running smoothly in accordance with the programme of works. We are looking forward to showcasing some more interesting pictures in our next news letter as the project continues.

Get York Building Event

Many thanks to those of you that attended the Get York Building event hosted by Harker Construction at the Pitcher & Piano in York. I am sure all will agree that the event was a great success. We were very pleased to see so many of you supporting us, The Get York Building campaign and St Leonards Hospice. Thanks to all who attended for making the night such an enjoyable one!!
We collected 44 business cards which translates to a donation of £88 from Harker Construction Ltd. to St Leonards Hospice in York, plus the contributions you gave on the night (I will let you know the grand total when the donations have all been counted).

Constructing Excellence SME Award Shortlist

We are very proud to announce that Harker Construction are one of two companies to have been shortlisted for the Constructing Excellence SME Award 2009. Harker Constructions directors Matthew Harker and Stephen Willows are looking forward to attending the third annual Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber award ceremony on Friday 18th of September at the elegant Oulton Hall Hotel in Leeds. The awards this year are sponsored by Yorkshire Forward, the regions development agency.
